I've been wiping lard on my work pants for 2 weeks straight and now I can't get the smell out. I'm not sure if its really noticeable or not but I can smell it. I need to stop eating home-made french fries :( but its all I got to eat.

It's probably not noticeable. I'd just keep wearing them, no wash required.

If the smell is still there than there still residue of lard in the clothes. Try these options to remove that residue.

Also - febreeze can work wonders.

Just add flour, salt and baking powder to them. Flatten into a nice round circle, cook on a hot pan till brown on both sides. Eat them, problem solved. Tortilla pants.

I know it may seem obvious, but how about actually washing them... you may need to let them soak for a while first.

I only own one pair of pants and I'm wearing them. I guess I could put shorts on i suppose.

When I was a child I nearly drowned in a 50 gallon barrel of used restaurant grease/oil/lard. :)

Afterwards my parents made me strip in the parking lot and throw away all of my clothes before they let me in the van for the ride home.

I worked in a restaurant kitchen for a number of years and the atmosphere is one of airborne grease. So you come home smelling and feeling greasy. Eventually, your chef's pants acquire that hard to remove oily odor.

The best soap I found is oxyclean. Make a strong concentrated solution of oxyclean and water and let your pants soak in it for a day or so, then launder as usual. Will get rid of nearly all smells...

Also, use a towel to wipe your hands, not your pants.
