What is the best way to get rid of partially used snow tires?

I've got some snow tires that I used for two seasons. I was going to use them for one more season but i got a nail in the sidewall at the end of last season. They're still on my winter wheels in storage at the moment.

I'm looking for the most economical option to get rid of or make use of three used tires.

edit: On second thought, Selling 1 might be tricky, keep it as a Spare if it won't Sell.

Has anyone personally experienced problems with mismatched tires? I have driven approximately 10K+ miles with mismatched tires on the rear axle (FWD, 3 good tires, one old tire). Nothing wrong so far--what kind of problems could arise?

I had three different types of tires on my old 1995 Accord. There may very well have been issues/problems, but nothing I could detect.

When I needed to get a tire for our Volvo, I went on craigslist and found the exact tire that I wanted, exact model size and everything, bought it and couldn't be happier. So, what is preventing you from doing this or looking on ebay for a tire?

Depends on the car. On a 2wd car you can run the mismatched tire on the wheels that don't get power from the engine. It's not recommended to use tires that are worn differently on the wheels that are actually moving the car. If he has an AWD car that makes it harder.
