I am not necessarily looking for the best of the best - just the best buy - $ for $. We are talking solid value here.

Help!

How about the clearance IBM P96 for $255 (249 in reality) with free shipping from their ebay store ( Link)?

Or there was a hot deals thread about a Compaq P910 diamondtron for ~$200 plus shipping from CDW (search p910 in hot deals).

IBM is a trinitron with dual inputs (15 pin d-sub). Diamondtron is a no-frills monitor, but has great refresh rates (as does the IBM). Either is a good choice. I went for the IBM.

have you received your monitor yet?
I am looking to buy a 19in monitor and 255 shipped sounds pretty good for a FD trinitron. if you have got it, I'm assuming you're pleased with the display

Nope, not here yet. Just ordered yesterday and it's already been shipped. Also, you'll be invoiced for 249, not 255. I don't know why, but I'm not complaining either. I'll post a mini-review when I get it if there are still questions.

The Sony G420 is a great 19" monitor. The colours are crisp and vibrant and the text is razor sharp.

Refurb off-lease P1110 (21") from Dell for CDN 400 = U$ 250.

Go big or stay at home!
