What is the best sound card out there right now?

Well, without getting into some of the professional level sound cards out there, I'd probably agree and say that the new Audigy2 ZS is your best all-arounder (both music/DVD and gaming). Just don't get it confused with the original Audigy, of which I'm not too fond of.

A second choice would the be the Prodigy 7.1 and Revo 7.1. These are better for music, but gaming is not as good as A2. I haven't tried the Prodigy 7.1, but from my experience with the Revo 7.1, that's a solid choice as well.
