Well I was going to suggest the Chevy Equinox, but apparently you're an idiot.

More expensive than the CR-V and less cargo room. Wow, winning combination there. :p

If you're going to counter his anti-domestic slant, at least suggest something better, like the Saturn Vue. Cheaper, more powerful, doesn't have that six-inch Bling Bling bowtie on the ass end (WTF was Chevy thinking with that design move?) and more power ... oh, wait, that's got a Honda engine in it. ;)

some stupid guy at worked got the CR-V and i think he got ripped off.

He got it for 36,000 finance and he pays 600 dollars a month.

But he also traded in two cars a 2001 Nissan Maxima and a Honda Civic.

While still a problem at least its an easy fix. Saturn tried to fix the Vue and when it re-tested it had the same failure. Honda solved its problem with a different oil filter. Besides, any decent mechanic would see an o-ring where the filter was and remove it before installing a new one.

No arguements there, the Vue is a piece of trash. Still, it's disconcerting that there was a stockpile of in"decent" mechanics working for the Honda dealerships, as you'd imagine they'd be the most apt at dealing with these design flaws.

Really, it doesn't take much to fool you does it ?

You sure it's the CR-V and not the Honda Pilot ?
CRV never reaches 36,000 unless the dealership is totally a scam artist.

If the Chevy Equinox got the outsourced Honda V6 found in the VUE it would be a very strong player in the cute-ute market.

The Forester XT is a smoking little devil :) Fast, functional, reliable, and best crash ratings in it's field.

It's not the popular vote...but it's a good SUV.

From Edmunds.com:
An all-wheel-drive 3.5-liter Santa Fe GLS is priced at just over $23,000 ? that's not cheap, but in typical Hyundai fashion, the price includes a lot of equipment. Items like side airbags, privacy glass, four-wheel discs with ABS, 16-inch alloy wheels, foglights and a remote anti-theft system are all included in that price.

What this all boils down to is more power. Except for a few minor changes, the Santa Fe soldiers on offering a compliant ride, roomy interior and reasonable value ? only now it can be had with a bigger and more powerful engine. That's just what we were hoping for.
