I'm thinking of upgrading my computer.
But I'm not sure which setup is the best (in term of price and performance)
I'm not gonna spend extra for P4 & RDRAM, that's too expensive.
Should I go with P4 and SDRAM ?
Wait for P4 and DDR RAM ? (still 6 months away?)
or go with P3 ? but some P4 are cheaper than P3.
any ideas ?

The thing is I already have 512 PC133 SDRAM.
I don't want to spend anymore for memory.

the P4 needs high memory bandwidth so i think using SDR would be a bad idea.. if you were gonna stick with your RAM id say go for an AMD proc, even though you dont wanna go that path.. maybe people in GH can help you a little better

You can already buy a P4 mobo with DDR. It's the AZZA P4X2. Linky

I think that if you go P4 definitley go w/ Rambus. Only $40 for 1 stick of $128. Get the Abit TH7II if you go with Rambus.

Don't forget the i850 is dual-channel so memory must be installed in pairs. If you want a 128MB RIMMjob, you need 2 x 64MB sticks of RDRAM.
