I'm looking for a new sandals for men.
I'm currently using CAT, rugged, not that comfy but it last me for a good 5 years now.
I just saw and try a sandal by Mephisto (Air Relax), holy smoke, that is the most comfy sandal that I've ever try. too bad it cost $232 (yikes).
Clark is pretty good to I think (Air something too) and pretty affordable ($80, maybe $50 at outlet stores.
so anyone have their favourite sandals ? comfy, durable and affordable ??

If you ever go to Greece, there's a guy just outside of Athens who is said to make the most comfortable sandals in the world. You sit down, he takes all kinds of measurements on your feet and cuts the leather and whatever else right there in front of you. You can only have it done in person, and I've heard he has the temperamnet of the "soup Nazi," so just going there doesn't automatically score you a pair. If he doesn't like you, no shoes for you! I read an article in my local newspaper about him before I went to Greece, and unsuccessfully searched for his business.

Now I've got some Polo Sport slides that are damn comfortable. :)

EDIT: Birk's are great too. There's a site that has them real cheap from Germany.

Birkenstocks.......I were those for about 3/4 of the year. The might be uncomfortable at first, but they will feel great after a few days. Money well spent.

Whats wrong with Tevas, I wear mine all year, with no socks 90% of the time, and after wind chill its 0f, and I don't stay inside all day, I bike to school. Tevas are great sandals, they never wear out, unlike Birkenstocks they have more straps and keep a firm grip on your foot, the soles are solid and grip wet rocks and stuff really well, I love my pair, I decided to finally get another pair of converse all stars recently, havn't worn REAL shoes in 2 years, this'll be my first pair.

he he, I agree.
I use my sandal almost everytime of the year when I was in Wisconsin.
I used to have this sweating feet stuff, then I "tortured" my feet by wearing sandals with no sock even when it is snowing outside. It kinda sting a bit but I get used to it after awhile and the sweating feet things is almost gone now.
Well, I'll check out birkenstock tomorrow. even $100 bux is kinda worth it since I wear it everyday and if it last more than a year then it already pay off.

I love SAS sandals. They just get more comfortable the longer they are worn, and they don't make me look quite as yuppish as Birkenstocks. I do not know whether SAS makes shoes for men, but their women's sizes go all the way up to 12 Wide, which would fit most of the men I know.

Birkenstocks are supposed to be really good. I have Doc Martins, nice looking dress sandals, a cork sole about an inch thick. They are soooo comfortable, they mold right to the shape of your feet......
