What is the best PC Game you have ever played?

The best game I have played would have to be Deus Ex. That game left an impression on me that I will never forget. Half-Life is a close second. Metal Gear Solid PC would be third.

What game(s) would you pick?
 
Civilization.... not even a contest. The number of people who have either failed out of college due to that game (or come close) has got to be staggering.
 
Myth 1 tfl and Myth II soulblighter, hands down the best RTS imho. The multiplayer community was awesome and still is today.
 
I have really enjoyed some of the more recent first person shooters, I LOVE this quaint little text sim called Front Office Football. I've wasted away many hours on some of the recent RPGs, but my heart belongs to the games of the early 90's, and my all time favorite game is:

BETRAYAL AT KRONDOR!
 
Solitaire!

just kidding.


hmmm...i'd have to go with the one that sucked the most time out of my life: Counterstrike
 
The games that really seemed to change how I looked at computer games are:

Ultima 7
Ultima Underworld (one of the very first First Person games)
Thief
Baldur's Gate

In that order.

Deus Ex is a damn fun game btw. 🙂

IMO Deus Ex is WAY OVERRATED!

No One Lives Forever
RTCW
and
Half Life

are all WAY BETTER GAMES!

No One Lives Forever, simply put is the finest FPS game ever, and its tragically underrated.
 
Thief: The Dark Project.

I found myself walking in the shadows, "casing the joint" and just being a lot more sneaky in general for months after I played that game.
 
starcraft, the greatest game of all time, it did more for blizzard than warcraft and diablo did IMO

by the way, im prett surprised no one said diablo (I or II) yet...i guess they're busy playing
 
I have spent time on EverQuest than every game Doom, Quake, Quake 2, Unreal, Quake 3, UT, CS, CIv, Civ@, Civ 3, Colonization, Deus Ex, Serious Sam, Tribes, etc.....combined.
