21 Grams
American Beauty
Fight Club

I dare say career-best performance by Naomi Watts & Benicio Del Toro; Kevin Spacey; Brad Pitt & Ed Norton.

Honorary Mention: Pulp Fiction wins for having the best dialogue in a movie...ever. Samuel Jackson delivered the performance of a lifetime. Jules Winnfield, the ultimate bad-ass - the benchmark for all future bad-asses.

"a beautiful mind"
"the illusionist"

Heavenly Creatures - the first time i ever heard of peter jackson.

Audition - one of the most disturbing horror movies ever. epic scale torture scene. one that makes you feel like you need to take a shower afterwards.

LOTR trilogy - nerd heaven. only drawback is no tom bombadil... i'm willing to forgive that though based on how well everything else was adapted from the books

High Tension/Haute Tension - french horror/gore. hottest lesbian kiss ever.

Secretary - maggie gyllenhall... b&d s&m plot line... how can you lose?
