noob, who'd wanna rip with WMA when theres ogg...
Why?
Damn good question, will there be an answer? I rip at 192kbps MP3, which is good enough for me! No desire for WMA or OGG...

Same here. 192kbps MP3. I usually only use .OGG for audio editing saves.

How many tracks do you have encoded at 64kbps or lower?

...yeah, I thought so.

EDIT:
Oh wait! They go all the way up to 128kbps! My beliefs are shaken to the core!!!

Listening to music, Foobar has the most advanced options i have seen. I'm not sure about an overall player I use Zoom and like it pretty well.

Who'd want to rip to an unpopular lossy format when you could rip to a popular lossy format that is supported by devices. WMP also rips to MP3 just fine.

For music, you can't beat foobar when set up properly.

That's the caveat. I don't consider myself a noob, however, I don't have the patience to figure that program out either.

Personally, I use WMP10 'cause I just don't care to install any extra programs when this one really does everything I need (if only they'd update the nero burning plugin).

Aww seriously, if you're gonna attack someone that route then here:

"N00B! Who'd wanna rip to a lossy ogg format when they can rip to FLAC and transcode to whatever format they wish for their portable.....oh wait! WMP10 does WMA-losslessout-of-the-box, so to hell with installing extra crap!"
