Just wanted to get some opinions on what people felt is the best mainboard out for a pentium 4 2.8-3.06 GHz processor.
I've read a few reviews, but I've noticed some boards are faster with one benchmark, then slower in another.

The best forum to find the info you are looking for is here.

To answer your question though, a lot of people will say board X, Y, Z is the best. You will probably will be looking a Intel 845PE chipset motherboards, or Granite Bay motherboards when the are available (which is very soon).

You can see the benchmarks on Granite Bay here.

Anandtech will have a Intel 845PE motherboard round-up review this week it looks like as well.

Best boards right now are the I845PE boards. You cant go wrong with any of them, just different features. I have the Asus P4PE and its a great board.

The 845PE chipset is the way to go right now. If you can use all the features the Asus P4PE has, then that is a very good motherboard. If you are looking for something a little more price concious and don't need all those features, then Albatron's PX845PEV Pro is a good choice.
