I've used Pirch, mirc, and ircN. I was wondering what you all thought might be the best irc client? I don't like Pirch because it doesn't have auto-resume on DCC file transfer, but I do like it because it's easy to use scripts with. ircN has some really cool features, but I think it might have a bit too many features.

Personally I like mIrc the best. I don't use IRC too much though so I'm not really into lots of features, just ease of use.

I like Xircon for Windows.

It makes mIRC look like it was written by 4 year olds. No offense to mIRC...it's not a bad program. But Xircon is better in pretty much every possible way. The most useful of which is the ability to have multiple server connections within one instance of the program.

The scripting language is also far far more advanced in Xircon.

www.xircon.com (or is it xirc.com...)

Xircon's been dead for about four years now!! It was a great program and I think it still is, but it needs some improvements bigtime!

I've used Polaris and some others, but personally i like mIRC the best by far...first one I really got involved with too! Use it in both Win98 and Win2k...

I prefer using mIRC with the polaris scripts. I also like Xchat for linux.
I haven't used BitchX, so I think that I will install it and give it a try.

Xchat/mIRC, depending on what OS I'm running. BersIRC is quite nice, but has too much to be ironed out before I'll use it.
