What is the best heatsink/fan for Opteron 170!

I have been to hell and back cooling my highly OC'd Opterons and X2's. The best HS I have tried to date is my current one (see sig.). You honestly won't get much better, maybe 1 or 2C, with a monster HSF setup. This one will fit in most cases, and can be quiet too.

If that is the best heatsink, then what is the best fan to put on it that fill fit? Again I am not concerned about noise- just cooling

Yeah but if it cools the best I'll take it! Also, does anyone else know about that heatsink? Is it better than the Thermaltake Typhoon?

I have the Big Typhoon because I read a review a while back that said it was the best. Its quiet, and if I can cool my 820D furce OC'ed box with it, and Opteron would be just fine with it. I use XP90's on all my X2's

So between the Thermalright SI-120, the Ninja and the TT Big typhoon and the XP90. Which would offer me the best cooling performance? I've heard mixed reviews about the Ninja saying that the Typhoon cools better. As for the SI-120 I have no clue about it.. I just don't know which of these four will offer the best cooling performance!? As for that delta fan... is it worth it for superior cooling or just retarded? Will a 520W PC&P ASL psu be able to support that fan and a 1900XTX and all my other parts?

Just get the SI 120, its fine (if it will work on your motherboard) The big typhoon may cool a little better, but you don't need that, and its very hard to install.

Big Typhoon > Sl 120 > Ninja and XP 90

So that the Big Typhoon is the best in terms of cooling, but the Sl 120 is the next best and easier to install?

Why is the Big Typhoon hard to install?

All of the listed ones use 120mm fans sherlock :p

SI 120 if i were you, the ninja isn't worth it (i've got one) and the Big typhoon is more of a compromise design than you want (i've got one of them too). Slap a 1600rpm fan on the SI 120 and laugh.

I'd see how the stock AMD Heatpipe Cooler works for you before you drop $40-$50 on a hs/f.

The BigTyphoon is a great cooler and it is not difficult to install, but I'd probably go with the Ninja or Tuniq if I were you.

That Tuniq is really impressive. I wish Xbit had included the SI-120 in there to see where it stacks up.

noise.... yeah... but in the summer in Phoenix with all the AC going I can't hear crap anyway ;)
