I just replaced my trusty Gigabyte 9700PRO with an ASUS 6800GT and I'm not all that familar with the forceware drivers and the last time I used an Nvidia card was back in 2002 when I still used my good old GF3TI and the drivers were still call the Detonator.
I downloaded the reference drivers from Nvidia's website and well, they are pretty ordinary, very buggy in some games when compared to my old ATI, farcry suffers from dodgy shadows and halflife 2 seems slower than my old ATI, the only game that really saw any improvement was doom3 .
some games like NFS:Underground seems to have poorer image quality than my old card, even when I fiddle with the driver settings it doesn't seem to get much better.
so can anybody please tell what are the best drivers for the 6800GT?
