Experiment with chips. Once you have a good chewy chocolate chip recipe it can be easily tweaked to provide dozens of flavor combinations. Add chocolate to the batter and use peanut butter morsels for a cookie similar to a Reese's PB Cup. Chocolate cookie and mint chips. Last batch I did chocolate cookies with sea salt chips and a caramel drizzle. Yum. Cherry in the batter with white chocolate chips are great for Christmas or Valentine's Day. Have fun with it. Mix flavors and morsels and colors and that one recipe can cover a lot of tastebuds and occasions.

Cherry is a favorite flavor, that I want to say 'that really makes it better', but 90% of the time, it doesn't really make it better. Which is why I had a thread on here previously looking for those few items where cherry is well done in things. (Want one? Virgil's Black Cherry soda).
