what does htt stand for and what does it do? like what does 5x 4x 3x mean? i have mine at 4x so is that bad? should I lower it to 3x?

3x is the standard, i always use 3. you probably should too, if you want to raise your HTT past 250.

There are three numbers that you need to manage when over clocking

HT or Hypertransport speed and its calculated (HTT x HTmulti =HT) stock 200x5=1000
This buss controls communication between the CPU and onboard cache, and should be maintained at 1000 or less. So as you overclock by raising the HTT you need to lower the HTmulti.

HTT or FSB(Frontside buss) this is the CPU's main buss which controls the CPU speed,HT, and RAM speed. CPU speed = HTT x CPUmulti, stock for a 3200+ 200x10=2000 or 2.0ghz

Ram clock or "memory divider" runs your ram speed as a fraction of HTT
Most boards list them as follows
200 = a 1:1 ratio, memory speed remains equal to HTT
166 = a 6:5 ratio, memory speed runs at 5/6th of the HTT
133 = a 3:2 ratio, memory speed runs at 2/3rds of HTT

More or less, it really doesn't matter what it's at as long as the HT is < 1000. You'll need to drop it to 3x to go past 250mhz.
