If I see one more person calling a computer component "sexy" I'm going to puke. Why is it sexy? Do you have sex with it? When you look at it, does it give you wood, or maybe a little seepage? Or maybe your girlfriend (or boyfriend) wears it and looks seductive in it, like sexy lingire. If you answered yes to any of these, you have some serious issues and I suggest getting outside more often.

OK sorry, end of rant.

i currently own an antec sonata (good case for the money and quiet). But my favorite has to be Coolermaster ATC-110. Too bad its discontinued.

cooler master stacker Text

This was my first computer build and found it to be very accessable. Put a couple of dvd players in it and it really looks sweet. Don't regret getting this. Has many options that could be vital for future upgrades. Its big so heat has a better chance of dissapating. Temps always stay in the upper 30's (low 40's when doing a lot of chit or gaming) and thats with cool and quiet disabled. Using stock HS.

For me the case has to be three things...
1. First it must hold my present and (presumed) future gear.
2. It must have good airflow to keep things cool
3. It should be quiet in its stock/original form.

The CM Stacker is a good choice - upgradeable to BTX form, holds lots of gear (up to 11 - 5.25" bays; 7 exposed 5.25, 1 exposed 3.5, 2 hidden 3.5" drives).

But another viable alternative is the Silverstone Temjin TJ06 PC Case.
The Temjin TJ06 PC case has:
* 5 exposed 5.25 bays
* 2 exposed 3.5 bays
* 6 hidden 3.5" bays
* Aluminum front bezel with 0.8 SECC steel body.
* EXCELLENT air flow with a wind tunnel for CPU cooling
* Fans: 2 - 120mm for front intake and rear exhaust, 1- 80mm front intake (which then utilizes the PSU's fan for exhaust)
* Very quiet and reviewed by Silent PC Review

* Priced aprox $10 less than the CM Stacker
* Holds more drives 13 vs 10 (hype says 11 but discount 1 for their USB, audio port and on/off switch bay) * Doesn't have an extra PSU bay like the CM Stacker - so water cooling is potentially better/easier with the CM Stacker.
* Undoubtedly quieter than the CM Stacker because it has no stock side vent for sound to escape through.

Alas if one is to own a high temp producing video card the CM stacker may prove more beneficial with its side vent mesh - especially if used inconjunction with 3 or more hard drives.

Personally I'm going with the quiet feature, and will choose my internal components around this preference.
Hard drives like Samsung's Spinpoint 8 mb buffer, SATA 160GB is fast, cool and very quiet. No not the fastest but does a lot of different tasks very well and has received very good reviews by Anand and others. Video is yet undecided - but will undoubtedly be fan less - or maybe adapted with a heat pipe type heat sink.

For me function out does form and quiet is a by-product of well-designed function. Hence my personal selection of Silverstone Temjin TJ06 over the CM Stacker. It simply holds more gear and is quieter!

I personally am torn between 3:

Chenbro Gaming Bomb 2

CM - Wavemaster

CM - Stacker

Leaning towards the Wavemaster due to the cost.

The Stacker is very nice but it looks like it's a steel build and does not look like the quality is very good inside the case.

The Gaming Bomb is my fav of the 3 but it's over 2 bills and I'm already building a 6800GT SLI so I have to cut on the cost somewhere! :)

Yes she loves them ever since I first introduced her to Counterstrike when we first met. She showed up to one of my LAN parties and I had no idea I would fall in love after that night.

She said "WOW! You guys are in the same game shooting each other on different computers? Can I try?" ... she was hooked. I don't think she left that PC one time that whole night.

The absolute best thing is that I'm 36 and she is 25, my friends are soooooooo jealous.

Pic? I would if I could post one wouldn't know where to put it.

Let me know and I will.

:)

I have a Lian Li PC70. Yes it's large, but it's very easy to work in. Lots of room for expansion. It will fit any board on the market, server boards included, redundant PSU ect... Plus with 6 case fans, I can keep them at low RPM's, so it's very quiet.

Everyone bashes it because that's the "trendy" thing to do. They want to hop onto the "bash Thermaltake" bandwagon.

That case is exactly the same inside as a few others I've recently noticed.. same inside as my compucase, and same inside as an Antec 3700.. (like made at the same factory same) it's definitely a sweet interior, and the only thing different about it is the PSU it comes with, and the front/external panels. It's a good case.

I have the "LX" version in white, check out the interior similarities with the Tsunami.. exactly the same :)
