What is the Best Black Keyboard out in the market right now?

Looking for a new black keyboard, wirless or wired. Doesn't make too big of a difference. I was looking at the Gyration Ultra Cordless Optical Suite...any recommendations?

Try the Logitech Elite freedom. Really pretty and I tend to actually use the function keys. unlike my previous keyboard. But unfortunatey it comes with a really crappy mouse. There is a corded version though.

I really enjoy the Microsoft Office Keyboard, so I suggest that (it comes in beige and black)

I agree. I already had the MX700 so I didn't need the mouse, but the keyboard is awesome.

What it doesn't have are any ergonomic or web-button features.

Actually it does have one ergo feature, ErgoForce.
Just a fancy name to mean that some buttons are harder to press than others, for example, keys that you generally hit with your little finger are much easier than the ones you'll hit with your thumb.
As for other features, that's a plus to me, the LT Designer is a plain mean no-frills keyboard, just the way I like it.

All in all, it's a kickass keyboard, have two at home and two at work, I refuse to work with anything less.

 

I am happy with my 12$ Aopen black keyboard. Keys are in the right place and it works. I could care less about quick function keys and hooking up a Microsoft branded keyboard to my Linux box would just be a sin.

I recommend IBM keyboards. Rapid Response Pro is very good from a touch typist point of view.

Right...unfortunately they added that feature *after* I bought mine! They had to add something for the 1999 model, right?

I'm fairly sure that the one my father's using at home has it. I do notice a different feel between the two.

Sturdy and reliable IBM and Dell OEM's can be had for $10. I was looking at the Gyration stuff recently and it seems the best for cordless if you donut need a full sized keyboard.
