I'm with Wells Fargo.

I'm starting to like this Credit Union idea though.

What are the terms and conditions of being able to join?

Citibank rocks. CS is excellent. Online site is awesome. Branch on almost every 5 other blocks in NYC. Unless I travel to the south, I can't complain.

Bank Of America hasn't charged me a fee for having an account. So far I've had know complaints with them.

I also bank with BB&T - never had a problem there either.

I've used Fifth Third for a while now and they have been great. No problems whatsoever.

Wells Fargo doesn't have any fees associated with Checking Account. I have been pretty happy with WF, except their lousy interest rate on Savings Account.... 0.01%

Washington Mutual has great customer service, a great website for all your banking needs, and a great Free Checking plan. They're all over the place here in NY.

I don't know about your Washington Mutual in NY but the ones in California charge you either $2.00 or $3.00 everytime you use another bank's ATM.
