What is the best backlit keyboard?

The G15 is really nice, if I were in the market for a new keyboard, that would be it (and I am not even a gamer - the programmable keys would come in handy for stuff like Premiere or Blender)

Actually no, it doesn't. For touchtyping to be useful you need to be oriented correctly, and to be oriented correctly you need to be able to see the keyboard.

You might have the keyboard in a rigidly precise position relative to the chair and never have it moved, or simply have the uncanny ability to latch on to it with precision without being able to see it, but that doesn't actually have any bearing on your touchtyping abilities.

You orient yourself in touch typing by placing your index fingers on the F and J keys, which generally have small bumps so you know.

I have the G15, its awesome. The LCD panel can display sys info and is easily customized using a simple gui interface.
