What is the best auction you ever won on Ebay?

Some auction you sniped the crap out of or some seller that didn't know how to list his item correctly so that you were amongst the few stumbled across it and it didn't have a reserve or ... you get the idea 😉

Mine was 3 months ago, it is not so great but it was one hell of a deal TBH
(please use my post below as a template for your best deal on Ebay):

Item:Brand New Nokia E61 GSM Unlocked Smart Phone + $60 worth of essential accessories
Winning Price: $ 190 shipped
Number of Bidders: 1 (only me)
Average Selling price of item(at that time): $ 400 shipped, ($ 480 with said accessories + shipping of accessories)
Savings (w.r.t average auctions): $290
Main reason for ownage: Seller didn't list the item correctly, didn't get much exposure.

Well, how about you?

Item:Brand New Logitech G7 mouse
Winning Price: $ .01 + 9$ shipping
Number of Bidders: 1 (only me)
Average Selling price of item(at that time): $ 100 shipped (roughly)
Savings (w.r.t average auctions): $90.99
Main reason for ownage:listed it as an MX300 for some reason (oddly this is what I was looking for anyway)

edit : to conform to darkthinker's format.

the reason was, the listing was labeled as a mx300 (which was what I was looking for).

What is a G7 ? I know you are talking about the mouse, but can you please follow the format so that we get more info about the deal?

That's one hell of a deal though!

Follow format please. What is the average selling price on Ebay? How much did you save?

I bought some a set of 6 figurines for a total of 4.99 shipped.

It costed the guy 5.xx to ship it. factor in paypal and listing fees, he lost money.

each figurine is 5 dollars plus shipping if you can still find them.

Brand spankin new 120g 2.5 HD for 34$ shipped bout 6 months ago.

Also picked up a brand new koolance system with two wateblocks for 110$ at around the same time.

All in all I try not to buy stuff on ebay.

About 3 years ago I scored 2 2x512mb kits of Kingston HyperX for 50 bucks per kit when they were going for $100+

Wow, wish I could get some better deals on ebay. Almost everything I bid on gets bid up to retail price even if it is used. Starting to suspect the sellers just do a lot of shill bidding or something.

bought a tmobile dash brand new for $80...noob seller listed it as a "microsoft cellular phone" in the title

also picked up a 22" samsung LCD for $125

also nabbed an x1950 pro for $95

You need to learn one thing, stop rushing the deals and the deals will come to you 😉

I found a mislabeled model kit and was able to purchase it for $5.00-$8.00, and it is so rare there are people out there that would happily purchase it for many times my purchase price.

I saw a baseball card listed that I needed for my set. The seller listed it as the "embossed" parallel version, but when I looked at the picture, it was obviously an embossed die-cut refractor version. It was worth about 50 times the price of the standard embossed card. I ended up winning that auction for about $4 and got a card with a book value of well over $150. I was happy.

I have an opposite experience to share.

Someone I know found a price mistake on a DSLR lense for $0.01 and sold it on eBay for around $1,000. Unfortunately he only ordered one and Amazon eventually caught the pricing error and fixed it.
