What is the best App for benchmarking HD speed/CPU usage?

For general Benchmarks SiSoft Sandra is very good! I am not really sure where I got my version from as it was about half a year ago. But ask around SiSoft is very good!

SiSoft is not particularly accurate and quite buggy. HDTACH is much more reliable.

I have to agree with taz; Sandra is NOT a true benchmark! It only makes suggestions based on your hardware configuration. HDTach is what you need!

Very good.. I had heard of HD Tach here on the Forum, just wanted to make sure it was the real deal. Does HD Tach and 3DMark 2K sound like a good set of diagnostics to test my sys. at all the steps of adding my new cpu, hdd and ua100 card, and gf2 mx? I'm pumped - going from a p2/400 to a p3/850! Also udma33 5400 to ua100 7200 hdd! YES!! It's in the mail, I should be posting like a fiend this weekend, probably printing in all CAPS screaming for help (I hope not..) Thanks for the suggestions folks.
