what is the best 19" lcd monitor out there?

I am very happy with my Samsung 192t. Games and everything else run fine on it. Most of the reviews I read before purchasing this labeled it the best 19" LCD.

In my opinion, Samsung makes the best LCD. I have a Samsung 213 t (maybe a bit out of your price range?). 21.3" viewable is more realestate that all 21" CRTs and the Dell 20" LCD. When I opened it, not one dead pixel.... Only a 25 ms pixel response time, but games wonderfully (even on FPS). If you can afford it, you will love this monitor.

I've been looking at Samsung LCDs too, they tend to get good reviews all round. AG Neovo screens also look nice from pics and reviews but I've not used one.

Does anyone know if the problem with ghosting in games only occurs if you're system is pushing higher FPS than the display's refresh rate? So does ghosting go away on LCDs if you turn on v-sync? Knowing if this is the case would make it much easier to choose an LCD!
 
what about the 193P that just came out? I bought it yesterday and I played Counter strike, and I saw ghosting pretty much through out the game. So u sure that's the 192T is better than 193P?

where did you get the 193P?

I've heard that Counterstrike is one of the worst games for ghosting because there is so much gray. Try out UT2k4. I have the 173P and I can see ghosting if I search for it, but it doesn't bother me. 173P=25ms, 193P=20ms
 
If the monitor will be used for dynamical games - that Samsung (Dell 1901FP - the same matrix) not the best choice. Real time black-white-black about 30 ms (our test-laboratory measured it) . Grey-to-grey is more 100 ms! In all the rest these monitors are excellent . I advise to pay attention on only appeared 19 " monitors with new S-IPS matrix (real 25 ms) - NEC 1960NXi, IIyama E481S or with Premium MVA - IIama 4821 (23 ms).

19 " monitors have no big speed of the response while. And ghosting in CS will be present on any of them.


 
172X are delivered with different panels. Here the characteristic got on testing. Far from 16 ms. 🙂

I have a samsung 191T hooked up to a 9800Pro using DVI... don't have any complaints and I game a lot. Very sexy monitor, though if I were to buy an LCD now and I had the $900 I would get that 20inch dell w/ 16ms response and 1600x1200 rez...
 
how does the new Sharp LL_191A lcd monitor or Dell 2001FP with 16ms respone time compare to the new Samsung 193P lcd monitor? I have the 193P so I know it's kinda blurry or trailing in game such as Counter Strike. So for those who has the Sharp LL-191A one, could you plz tell me how's the 16ms response time ? Does it do what it say as 16ms? or seems like 20 - 25ms? thx.
