What is it, say 75% of all DVD's can be copied fully with no compression to a normal single layer DVD? Anyone know?

Average size I come across is about 6-8 GB
Most newer DVD's I backup needed compression.

But trust me you want the dual layer so you can get that bit for bit copy on LOTR.

Actually it depends on the original DVD. I have some that will fit without compression onto a normal DVD_+R. That also included all the extra crap and menus.

I have other movies that are huge. One is 7.8 gigs in size. I used DVDDecrypter to rip it and DVDFab to split it into 2 DVDs. All extras intact including menus and no quality loss either.
