I increased the size of my wheels from 14" to 16". There wouldn't be enough clearance to fit the same type of tires as I had before. Becides, even if there was it would screw up the speedometer and odometer readings.

Just the speedometer.

Not true. How do you think it measures your distance? By the wheel rotation. Bigger tires will require less revolutions to go the same distance thereby throwing off the accuracy of both the speedometer and odometer.

I just put some badass low profile tires wrapped around 24inch rims on my H1 hummer. It handles great now!

Ppl want big rims and with that comes the necessity of a low profile tire to keep the circumference equal

besides they do offer a better cornering ability due to less flex in the tires
