Plissssss!!:can anyone explain me what is the amr slot used for in the asus cusl2 and if the riser adapter they want to sell me is of any used at all??

They are CNR slots, not AMR.

CNR slots are for software modems, CPU driven sound cards, and network interface cards.

AMR only cover the 1st 2, not network interfaces.

I think not that many people use AMR/CNR risers at the moment, as people would rather buy full blown peripherals instead of CPU driven ones.
