what is that rifle in LXG

Anyone catch the rifle he Tom Sawer was using in LXG? It looked like a stainless steel Mrlin in the 30-30 range? I'm not sure I was just at Marlin's site and it looked similiar. I have not seen the movie yet so I don't know if it is even brought up.
