What Is That Hat Called.......

I just watched, HOw The Grinch Stole X-Mas, and there was an actor that had a hat that i wanted. The hat was made out of a fleece material and had the flaps on the side to cover your ears. Anyone know what are these hats called? I really wanted them because i think theres a coolness factor to it.

I know what you are talking about, but I don't know the name. It's the type of hat that one guy wears in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. You know, the one guy that lived in the motorhome?? Funny movie...haha.

they look about the same, one has longer flaps

damn, those look almost like it, But i forgot to mention that it looks like a regular cap with the bill in the front and with the two flaps on the side. The flaps it self isn't as long as the alpine or the spindrift hat.

I usually see them called a "trooper" - there are fur troopers, felt troopers; I've also seen them called "tank commanders" and "Elmer's" - after Elmer Fudd, I'm assuming.

its almost like This one but see how the bill is up against the fore-head, the one i was looking for was the bill is sticking out and the flaps was a little but shorter. Thanks everyone for help but still searching for that item.
