what is SYSFADER?

after bootup, I was having trouble running anything. I did cntl-alt-delete and SYSFADER was running. Anyone know what this is?

I looked for PINF in registry as it said this virus would create an entry, but it was not there. So I assume the virus is not present. I have AVG as my antivirus program I will do a full scan. What made you think it was this virus. I didn't read anything about SYSFADER there. Did I miss it?

There was some info about sysfader and explorer becoming effected by the above virus. The virus slowly speads and can create symptoms similar to yours.

It is part of Explorer and controls "transitions", menu effects.

What else is the computer doing or not doing?
