The libertarian in me does not object to taxes necessarily but does strongly object to playing with the tax system for effecting social change rather than using it as a neutral system for generating revenue for providing necessary government services.

Because you get something for your school tax dollars. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind supporting the local schools. But seeing teachers get paid shit and the economy causing problems for many districts... Why don't these schools (or local government) turn to the people that actually use the schools?
Basically parents are getting free babysitting, life lessons, and exercise for their kids. I don't get jack.
