Theodore Dreiser. An American Tragedy. The new reality show.

As far as I understand, they don't have any hard evidence on him.

I think the fact that his attorney is Mark Geragos(sp) who respresented Winona Ryder, and for a little while Michael Jackson has a little to do with it too. But mainly the fact that she was an attractive white woman, that was pregnant, that was presumably murdered by her also attractive white husband who was cheating on her. I agree that if they were white trash, or not perty, it wouldn't be big news at all.

Second question: Who is the target audience for this? I have yet to meet anyone who actually gives a sh!t about the trial, but for them to be covering it like they do then SURELY someone out there is following it. Middle class soccer moms with too much free time on their hands? Old people? The Irish?

OJ trial showed news executives that they needed a continuous story line to keep people tuned in. Now with several 24 hour news channels we need several of these stories going at once: Lacy, Kobe, Jackson, etc. For the same reason people tune in to see their favorite soap opera every day.

All this attention on this stupid trial is to keep attention away from the fact that we are slowly and methodically taking over Iraq.

Man kills wife with unborn baby while having an affair. Seems worthy of some attention, not everything is that vile.

wait, you left out: kills his hot (but pregnant) wife while having an affair with a reasonably hot and easy woman, lying to everyone around him the whole time.

and there's a 50/50 chance he'll get away with it.

I say its more like 70/30 he'll be aquitted. The proseuction so far has not made any case, other than he is a liar. There is way to much reasonable doubt, like the baby being near full term, while if murdered on Dec 24 it shouldnt be.

I haven't followed the case at all... is it as obvious that he's guilty as it was obvious that OJ was guilty?
I know he's guilty of an affair, but the rest of it?
