What is Quick-Link.exe ????

I purchased some engineering software that has 200+ files. They came on a USB drive and besides the engineering files there is a file called Quick-Link.exe.

I click on that file and nothing happens, likewise the 200+ files do nothing either when clicked upon.

This was an upgrade from the files I had been using. Those files were sent to me as protected excel files. Apparently the author had some problem with bootleg cracking of password and moved to some new sort of protection using quick-link.exe and making all the files .exe files.

Any idea what is going on?

No idea. It would probably be better to contact the dev with support issues. That's a large part of what you're paying for.

Spendy!

That looks like something you could do yourself, at least partially. I used to program HP calculators for work, and it's very satisfying using something you made yourself that makes your job easier.

I still don't know what Quicklink.exe is :^D I'd email those guys, and get them to help. I suspect there aren't many here that know much about that system, and the devs will have more intimate knowledge than the people here will. They also look like a small outfit, so the attention should be a little more personal than you'd get with a company like Adobe or something.
