I had to fill out a survey for school, and it has the usual orientations: hetero, homo, bi, tranny, asexual, questioning, and one i didn't understand, queer.

doesn't queer describe any alternative (non-hetero) orientation? so from the list, what else is left?

You had to feel it out?

Aside from that, I believe it is just an insulting term for homosexuals. Why would this be on a school survey?!!!

Edit: this says any sexual minorities http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer

Hell, that's what I always thought too, or either a term of endearment.

That's what I thought, so what minorities are missing?

Transitioning (gender change), non-determinate of orientation or sexuality, not straight but don't want to be specific. Just a catch-all phrase to cover anyone who doesn't feel like they belong to one of the listed groups.

Isn't that a bisexual?

No, I'm bisexual so I find men and women attractive, but I don't find transexuals attractive, I also have an age preference (around my age) as most people do, pansexuals are attractive to humans.

Was this a survey designed by students? It sounds like it.

So a bisexual like yourself is attracted to Men and Women whereas a Pansexual will fuck anything with a hole? :awe:

I believe what he meant was a sexual orientation of being attracted to transgender people.

Really? I don't usually think of transsexual as a real sexual orientation but more something they throw into the LGBT group for reasons of support and persecution. I think of transsexuals as people who identify with the opposite gender to which they were born as, they could be hetero, gay or bi.

That's definitely what a transexual is, but there are people who are exclusively attracted to transexual people, I.e. attracted to post-op or pre-op transexuals. It happens. Some people only like "chicks with dicks"....

If you're unsure, just check homo. You can never go wrong checking that box.

I always thought queer meant gay/lesbian.

Isn't one of that community's chants, "We're Here! We're Queer! Get used to it!"?
