Well....I open my computer to see if I have an extra pci slot the other day...and notice it feels REALLY hot! So i go into the bios and find out it says it is Motherboard temp: 36 C and 96.5 F...is this high? This is what i got---

Athlon XP 1800+
80 Gig Western Digital HDD 7200 RPM
40 Gig Western Digital HDD 7200 RPM
Acer Burner 24x
Acer CD-ROM
512 DDR Ram
Like 4 or 5 PCI cards (sb live card, wintv card, firewire, ethernet, usb)
Geforce2 MX 400 (but I have a Siluro Geforce4 Ti4200 on the way from newegg.com)

so is this a good temp for this shiznacks? If its overly low then maybe i should overclock this somehow(???) Any help would be appreciated thanks

oh btw kinda off topic but whats the clock speed of the xp 1800+ and would i benefit to upgrade that? thanks alot

That's well within normal operating temperature for that system. I have way less and mine runs at 30 C

Actually 36*C for a mobo sounds kind of high to me.

What are you using to cool your case?

Motherboard manager can read temps, but keep in mind that any temp reading via software is not 100% accurate. That temp is fine, although there are some people who are obsessed with the lowest temp possible.
