What is net-accelerator

It is a compression tool that is supposed to make the internet faster. It only helps in certain situations, it won't make downloading any faster. It's a complete waste of money, so don't pay for it. For free, nothing wrong with it. It's only useful to dialup users, not broadband users.
 
There's two ways they do this:

[*]Compression of the images and

[*]Prefetching all the linked sites on a page into a cache - the idea is while humans read the first page all the linked sites are downloading so by the time he or she clicks on a link it will spray up from the disk or ram (!) cache giving them the impression they're on a fast line.
