so core temp gives me 1.3250v
CPU-Z gives me 1.248v
and speedfan gives me 1.25v

the reason i ask is because i am overclocking my 6600 to 3ghz. im pretty sure the mobo is set at stock voltage, and it seams stable. But, that core temp reading for the voltage seams way to high. what gives?? my temps are fine.( <40C )

also- coretemp tells me my Tjunction is at 85C. why is this so hot???

I wouldn't trust Coretemp for voltage readings. It seems like the other 2 are valid, but see how they compare to the BIOS.

Coretemp gives you the VID, which is the default voltage for your chip. It's not reading the actual voltage.
The Tjunction is the temp at which your CPU throttles.

another quick question- my memory is crucial ballistix pc2-8000. So, its rated to run at 1ghz right?

well, my fsb is 333mhz (333x9= my 3ghz) my fsb to dram ratio is 2:3, giving my ram speed of 999mhz??? but my bios says its running at pc2-8500???? whats up with this

my specs for this pc are:

asus p5w-dh deluxe
crucial ballistix pc2-8000 2x1gb
250gb WD sata 16mb cache
80gb WD IDE
7800gtx
cooling: zalman 7700 all copper

temps: cpu1: 20C cpu2: 28C system: 24C

(my basement is very cold....)

In the future, you would definitely need a new graphics card. Processors in the coming years (2-3 years) will be native quad core with much lower power consumption.
