I have a 1700+@2053(10.5x197), 8rda+(older one), 300w TTGA PSU, 24x burner, 80gb WD SE, 30gb maxtor, 128mb TI4200, spuramax 56k....and I am having boot problems, everytime I have my comp running for a long time(or off for a long time) it takes 2 boots to get my mouse and keyboard to work...this barely started happening like 2 weeks ago and has been running everything in there overclocked without change for almost 2 months. I know the power supply is lacking but it hasn't really given me problems so far. What else could be wrong?
 
Temperatures are getting warmer... maybe some overclocking instabilities are starting to show up now that ambient room temps are higher?
 
Rising temperatures could have a lot to do with it. What are your temps like now? What were they like before?

Maybe your PSU is starting to flake out after the load it has been enduring? Sounds like a fair load for a 300w PSU when overclocking.
 
CPU running at 36c under 100% laod through SETI and case at 31c....don't think temp is a problem, hasn't changed any in the last couple months...motherboard monitor shows a high of 39c after running for 1 day playing warcraft 3 and BF1942 throughout the afternoon...
 
this may also have something to do with it...recently when playing warcraft3 I get an error and it kicks me out, but my temps have actually gone down a couple of degrees cause I am in the basement and it is rather chilly down here...I used to get the same error when my vid card fan went out, but I replaced that with a thermaltake HS/F. It probably has something to do with my psu, just because it is rather weak and came with my case 2 years ago... would my 5v rail have anything to do with this? It's low is 4.76v and high is 4.86v
 
I had a similar problem with a 350w ps. Once I replaced it with a 400w, the problem went away. Since it does not appear to be tempeture related, this is the next most likely component to check. Meantime, that "bad" power supply is working perferectly fine in a different, older computer.
 
alright, I don't have much money at the moment so I can live with having to restart my computer 2x, but when I do egt some money what would be a good PSU for under $60? I'm not sure about prices but I think I can find one of them antec truepowers for around there eh?
