What is my computter doing!?!? *HELP*

I found out it doesn't do this in Win2k, the reason I'm mad that it does this is because it slows my games down like every 2 seconds and I get a hour glass for a crosshair or pointer. It does this ALL the time... and it is not stirring the hardrives. What is wrong with my system?? I'm getting so pissed cuz this is my first time going to an AMD system and I'm having all these weird problems. I'm sick of this. I might go to intel if problems persist.
 
Well we can't have you going to *ntel young man. Try an FTP search for a util called WPS.EXE. That might give you some insight.

Nope I don't have a virus, as I just formated and haven't downloaded anything from any little websites other than download.com and manufacturers for drivers etc... Also I have NAV2k1 installed...
