Prove it. Please provide evidence to back up this assertion. In fact, define "truth".
hmm, well I doubt I can prove anything, but I can try to define it (at least my perception of it).
It's like a referee making a controversial call in a game. The player saw the ball move this way, but the referee saw it move another way... you watching the game have formed your own opinion. In the end it doesn't matter what ACTUALLY happened... only what the ref percieved.
But there is an absolute truth, the ball did or did not (lets say) go out of bounds. History, as it is written, is the exact same way. We aren't reading what happened in the past... only what joe bloe percieved as to what happened.
Mathematics is, I feel, one of the closest absolute truths we have. I know there are a hundred laws and theoroms being debated all the time... but I can see the beauty when a math equation can be switched around, all over the place and produce the information you are looking for... even more amazing is when it's applied to things we interact with everyday (like nature and the golden ratio). Don't ask me to demonstare please
Im not great at math and probably couldn't demonstrate anything
beautiful.
I also think my feelings on truth come from my religious beliefs. The idea of absolute truth may only be had by those that
believe in it
I'm not sure, but I would venture a guess that the two that challenged the idea of 'absolute truth' are either athiest or agnostic. I could be dead wrong but it would seem to explain your attitude with relation to time/truth.
