What is more severe, a first degree burn or a third degree?

did you suffer a third degree burn GF?

I hope not..I hear that is a very painful experiance.

<< Did my injury inspire this thread? 😉 >>

lol actually yes.

Some time ago I had a very serious burn on my left hand due a problem with an electrical outlet.

It was second on my 3rd and 4th fingers, and first or third on my thumb and first and second fingers.

I couldn't remember which was which between first and third.

So in a way, yes your burn did inspire this thread 😉

No..she burned her finger on a frying pan 😉 and her nosey cousin posted about it on SWF to make an ass of her.

And yes it is, it is a very very painful experience. It is an experience in which you immediately go to the emergency room wishing your mother could drive a lot faster.

I think we are conditioned to think about 1st degee murder as worst, so it confuses us when we think of burns.

3rd degree burns are horrible .. my bestest friend in the world (next to my hubby) was burned in a house fire when she was 3 years old .. she had 3rd degree burns over 70% of her body .. she almost died .. was horrible..

I do that all the time and it hurts like a sonuvagun....

I can't imagine the pain a 3rd degree burn must feel like!!

yikes!

Oh dear god :Q!

Wow..3rd degree burns over 50% of 3 fingers was quite bad enough...🙁 🙁

I have very fair skin and got a very bad burn on my back one summer. I'll spare the gruesome details, but I think it was second degree.

What degree would this be?

I shave my head pretty regurlaly. Over this summer, as an umpire for my city's softball league, i burnt my head pretty severly. Was outside for probably 6 hours, with constant sun. My head blistered and oozed $hit for a week and a half. I looked like the leapord man for a week or so. 1st, 2nd or 3rd

acctually a third degree burn itself would not hurt as all the nerves would have been burned.
The only down side to it being that the third degree burns are surrounded by second degree
burn which hurt very badly.

Sounds like a 2nd degree burn.
