What is more important to you? High rez or AA/AF?

Depends. I'm mostly concerned about the game not being choppy so I'll run AA if I can get away with it, but generally just run 1280 x 1024 for the sake of not getting my head blown off because I couldn't see what was going on. 😉

I like smoothness over the both of those. 😀 That said I usually run 1024x768x32 w/ 4x AA or 800x600x32 w/ 4x AA depending on which monitor I'm using. I'm not really sure what AF does and I can't usually tell the difference when it's on so I don't use it.

So far an even split. That kind of surprises me. I tought I was in the minority with all the hype of AA/AF.

I usually never go higher than 1024x768, from there I just max out the quality while maintaining a decent framerate

Given that it's cheaper to upgrade video cards than monitors (assuming you want a decent monitor), low-res + FSAA is probably beter.

same here. i run @ 1152x864, best image/perfomance ratio to my eyes on my gf3. looks better than 800x or 1024x with 2xAA/2xAF, which kills my old card anyway.

If it already isn't the industry standard will soon be 1280x1024 because that's the native lcd resolution. After that it'll be 1280x1024 AA, 2xAA, etc...
