Micostutter is only observed by a small portion of people, most of them look for it specifically, most don't have it at all.
 
does a 120Hz monitor alleviate some of the Microstutter pain because it can display frames at less than 16ms intervals?

No. You would have to run it at much higher FPS to counter some of the microstutter issue. But ti will always be there. Its only a matter of when you observe it or not.
 
Nope, micro-stutter is a product of AFR. Single cards don't use AFR.

Don't mistake micro-stutter for simple fluctuations in the framerate; it's much more than that.

does the multi-gpu even talk to each other? as to the coordination of exactly when to display the next frame? or perhap a controller chip at the hardware level to flow control when exactly to display the next frame for smooth rendering?
