I know that many are overclocking CPU's at pretty high rates but what is the fastest CPU for a P3V4X?
The mobo manual only shows up to 733mhz but the ASUS site shows jumper settings for a 933mhz.
I don't want to buy a processor that is too fast for the mobo. Is this possible?
If there is a limit, I will probably need to upgrade the mobo also.
Any info is appreciated.

If I remember correctly, the maximum multiplier is 8x and the max FSB as 150. Unless there are limitations in the BIOS (which I'm unsure of), it should be able to handle up to the PIII 1.0B GHz (7.5x133) without overclocking. It couldn't do the the PIII 950 because it uses a 9.5x100.

With overclocking, it is theoretically possible to make the P3V4X do 1.2GHz.

If anyone knows if the BIOS blocks chips faster than 933, please post.

Thanks everyone for the info.
I'll probably just go up to 866mhz for now but I'm waiting for this rumored price drop of the Intel processors which was reportedly to happen at the end of this month.
