Accent Grave for French use. In Spanish it is simply an accent. In Spanish text, it comes as a complete character, i.e,, é, á, ó, ú, í. All of these symbols are in general called diacriticals. Others used in Spanish are ñ, and ü.All of these accented characters have different ASCII codes.
Other diacriticals in other languages are ê, è, and ç. The tail on the c is called a cedilla.
To make these diacriticals on an English language keyboard, just use Microsoft's charmap feature - copy and paste. This has been around since Windows 3.0.
To do that, Start, Run, and type charmap - hit enter. It will pop up the chart for the font you are using.
