Return policy for most item: 90 days

Price match policy
"price adjustment will be given on piror Kmart purchase within 7 days of purchase"

Long story short, this flawed policies encourage people to return the item, then buy another one at sale price or buy the item at sale price, then return the newly bought item w/ old receipt if it's something not convenient to remove and bring in.

I think it will end up costing them more than just allowing adjustments within the then same time frame as return.

Yeah man... K Mart is struggling as it is... they are trying to be nice to the consumer... so quit being an Arse and play nice.

That's a lot of effort to put into screwing K-Mart.

You might think again if you bought a lawnmower or whatever for $399, then find it on sale for $299 two weeks later, but can't get adjustment per 7day adjustment policy

Uh... WTF??

What other retailers have this policy, period?

I'd say 7 days is very gracious. It's not their fault you didn't know the price was going to drop.

My God. What the hell is wrong with people? Be happy they're doing it at all. Would it be better if they just told you to fsck off, like they should?

Well now, they should do that... if they want to lose busniness to the guy next door that will treat them well.

It was a figure of speech. 😛

"I'd say 7 days is very gracious."

I thought most stores had a 30 day price match policy... that's if they price match at all.

Edit: This is true of Sears:
  • If you find a lower price on an identical branded item with the same features currently available for sale at another local retail store Sears will match that price Plus, give you 10% of the difference. Just tell your sales associate at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase.

WTF does everyone think places should price match if the price drops?

Usually many things will fall in price each month, buy at the price you feel is fair and don't continue to shop.

It's called competition and marketing. I don't mind buying on impulse anywhere, so long as they have liberal policies like this in place. Why shop at a store that doesn't price match for 30 days, when the store next door does?

They could always do what walmart does and keeps track of returns and only allows 3 returns in a certain amount of months. And since its computerized you cant go to a different walmart store to try there either. because they'll know!

Ethical or not, we're consumers and we'll do our best to save our bucks. Creating a 7day matching and 30day return policy is just asking for what I said earlier.

Would you leave your wallet on the dash of your convertible? You going to say even if they can take it, it's not ethical, therefore nobody will take it?

Wal-Mart do not keep track of cash transactions. You're thinking of returns without a receipt.

be gratefull you have one, ours crashed and burned years ago from the bankruptcy, its parking lot has become an unofficial used car dealership
