``IT,'' the mysterious, much- hyped invention that a down-on-its-luck hi-tech world has seized on as a possible revolutionary breakthrough in the realm of personal transportation, is ready to be unveiled on Monday.

IT, also known by the code-name ``Ginger,'' is said to be some sort of personal Hovercraft or radical new transportation device, perhaps one that relies on an emission-free Stirling engine that recycles much of its own heat.

I wonder what "IT" is those that have seen it say it will change are world unimaginably???????

I'm surprised how well they've been able to keep the secret. I would have thought it would have been leaked out by now.

On South Park two weeks ago they made a parody of it. Mr. Garrison got fed up with the airline industry (long lines, stupid workers, impersonal service, cutbacks on service so the executives can continue making millions of dollars in salary) and invented his own mode of transportation and called it the IT. In order for the device to work, you had to operate two shafts, one that was inserted into the driver's bottom and mouth. It was hilarious when they were asked if it was painful, the punchline everytime was, "sure, it's painful, but it sure beats flying and dealing with the airlines." After many of the ITs were sold, the government came to make ITs illegal, thus bailing out the airline industry again. I haven't watched South Park in about a year, but this was definitely one of the funniest episodes I've ever seen :-D

Not really, since the "IT" referred to in this thread is different than the IT that stands for Information technology.:p

I think 'IT' will be some transporation device powered by NEFs. 'IT' will have a direct link at all times to ATOT.
