What is it with the workplace?

I just got a job like 2 days ago, and I'm like already sick of the place...

there are things I'd rather be doing, like sitting on my ass or something... does anyone have the same feeling?

Does it get better? Obviously it gets better when you see your paycheck, but still.... work sucks... I guess that's the point of this thread.

I'm at work. I'm going to see if anyone has a screwdriver I can borrow so I can take stuff apart.

I do have hot co-workers... but that doesn't make time go by faster. Yeah, I'll tell my boss that too... "Hire hotter girls.... this place is so boring that time stops.... I Need something to do... like stare..." I'm sure he'll understand and fire me on the spot.

not to flame at all...but if you are bored and mad about it...why not find something to do?? ask a coworker if they need help...or take it upon yourself to do some minor tasks....I have purposely been doing absolutely nothing at my job for 3 weeks and I got bored yesterday and actually did some work...for about 5 minutes..it made me feel better

oh trust me, I'd rather sit around and collect the money, that's what happens most of the time, I'm quite the ambicious (sp.) worker, that's why I find that when there is nothing to do... time drags by... and that happens to be fairly often... at least with my position in the restraunt.

i worked in the restaurant biz for 6 years...and I never had a spare second...there is always something that needs to be cleaned/stocked/rotated...I dont know how you could be bored
