Tommy Lee Jones said it best "All of my life..saturaday morning cartoons...the best!"

Nothing better than getting up in the morning in the early 80s and watching non stop Voltron, Thundercats, and Transformers until noon 😀

<< Related to the subject... Is there a website which tells how the stories of the comics develope? I mean, GI Joe for example had the main story that advanced in each issue. I used to read GI Joe when I was a kid, and I have been thinking lately that what happened in the later issues. >>

I don't know of one, but This Guy has some hilarious write ups of all of the super friends 🙂

<< ah, good ol cartoons... has anyone seen what's on saturday's these days? A sad excuse for transformers and a bunch of other CRAP. there's nothin on tv no more. >>

there's barely anything on anymore saturday mornings... i remember back in the day, they used to preview the upcoming season of new cartoons... i mean the WB and Fox has some cartoons, but the networks used to actually worked at getting a good lineup of cartoons to us kiddies.... it's pretty much a joke of what's on ABC, NBC, CBS.. they arent very kid friendly anymore which is a shame...

oh yea,, dungeons and dragons... that was an awesome cartoon as well . 🙂

Current cartoons are sh!t!!

WTF is a Pokemon or Monster Rancher or Digimon, or whatever the fvck this stuff is??

Wile E. Coyote, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and the Animaniacs still kick all their asses!

<< how about scooby doo?? >>

I always thought Shaggy was smoking weed in the back of the Mystery Machine. He always had the munchies and talked to a dog.

u're telling me.. he ate scooby's scooby snacks.. must have been on something to eat dog food.. i wonder what that stuff was supposed to be..

<< Thundercats
Thundercats
Thundercats...HO!
>>

I was addicted to Thundercats. It had them best japanimation at the time for a regularly-scheduled cartoon. I have almost all the episodes on vhs, although I wasn't as diligent about recording during the Berzerker phase (duh). Talk about jump the shark!

<< Don't forget the snorkels! >>

Dude the SNORKS where a rip-off of the Smurfs.

My favorite cartoon in the 80's was Robotech. I was more in to the live action shows like the A-Team, Knight Rider, Battlestar Gallactica, Airwolf, Hardcastle and McCormick,

hmm.. was "the littles" cartoon in the 80's... not very good with dates... it all one big meshed up thing for me..

Bah! Screw the 80's some of the best cartoons were on in the 90's.
Exo Squad, Pirates of Dark Water, Conan the Adventurer, Mighty Max, Ronin Warriors (although that was more like 70's anime). That stuff rocked.

Compare that to the 80s stuff.
Thundarr the Barbarian, Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, Noozles, The Littles, Rude Dawg and the Dweebs, Bill and Teds Excellent Adventures, Punky Brewster, Little Rosie, Turbo Teen? Bah, screw that stuff.

There were some good 80s cartoons of course.
Danger Mouse, GI Joe, Herculoids, The Adventures of David the Gnome, Jacye and the Wheel Warriors, M.A.S.K, but there were so many more bad ones that it hurt to watch sometimes.
