why you said Asian as a whole when you specified the ones you had are from the Philippines.

it's like, i drove a pinto and all American cars are utter POS.

The stuff I've had from Japan and China isn't any better quite frankly. That's why I said Asian as a whole.

The stuff that came back from the Philippines today is just one example. I've had other stuff from other parts of Asia.

I tend to not really care for most of the Asian desserts I've had, but it's a cultural thing.

I've dated a number of guys from different countries on the continent and by and large, they don't seem to have the same sweet tooth that Westerners have and find most of the desserts that I'd love to be too sugary.

I can still find them here and they have curry ones now too. No Nori yet though as far as I've seen. :(

Goldilocks is one of the premier bakeries in the PI.

They have locations also in CA & NV and maybe elsewhere

People will drive an hour or more to eat at their table and purchase baked goods.

goldilocks sucks compared to red ribbon

The curry ones are fantastic too. They used to have the Quebec Four Cheese as well that I really liked. I'm pretty sure they've been discontinued. I haven't seen them for at least two years.

I don't care for sweet/sugary stuff, but Asian savory snacks are great. Too much to mention all, but here's some of the stuff I like.

Armenians make a candy called Hulva, it too tastes like slightly sweetened pencil eraser.

Wrong on all counts, Durian is one of the nastiest things. Durian candy doubly nasty. Same with durian ice cream.

Nope.

The fruit itself is nasty but the goodies with lighter flavor = yummy. Don't hate. :p

OP is right. Asians have the weirdest palates on the planet. I hear they even like eating Fido in Korea and eggs soaked in the urine of small children in China.

Dont even get me started on curry ants.
