you don't say anything because you don't want to deal with the problem?

Why fix it today when you can try to fix it tomorrow ... procrastination?

Yeah, I'm at work and my spidey senses are going off. But identification and resolution of said problem wil result in a shit load of work for me and loss of forum neffing. Better for the day shift to deal with it than the graveyard guy.

I believe DNA described this as the "Other People's Problem" effect, it is a powerful force of human nature.

Will anyone likely say why didn't person X on the graveyard catch this?

Or alternatively if you take preemptive action will someone likely say, wow nice work X on the graveyard for catching this?

If neither of the above nef away. :p

naaah, most people in my position wouldn't catch it. I just happen to recognize it because it happened before, and the clues are fairly subtle.

Then keep neffing :p

Unless you are looking for advancement in your current job. Then it might help to be proactive. Personally I'm a perfectionist so I don't think I could not do something about it. But everyone's different.

Oh and what are the consequences of not doing something about this? Anything bad?

naaaa i think it's a noob in another department who is assigning profiles incorrectly. all subsequent data input into said profiles will need to be reentered. not by me though. I don't think there is any way other computer illiterate pharmacists would have recognized this.

Because corporate america trains us that if you find an issue or come up with an idea, it becomes your baby and you can never get away from it.

Meanwhile your idiot coworkers sit around being morons doing nothing.
